Habitat is a series of paintings by Andrea Mangione originating from images of distant and indistinct palms, generated on a computer screen and transcribed into painting through a sign language which aims at reaching evocative qualities, tonal transitions and modulations. Habitat is a circular and creative process in which the intuitive fast pace of digital media let the mirage of a perception come forth through a transparency, between the lines of some hidden meaning.
